I’m Bernie Stone, and I solve problems. I’m an Iowa-based professional that leverages my management and leadership experience to best serve you in meeting your goals.
During my 20-year career in the U.S. Army, I became an international political strategist, working on national security policy and foreign affairs in five U.S. Embassies in Europe, Central Asia, and East Asia. I developed and managed programs to achieve U.S. foreign policy objectives on a global scale, provided time-sensitive data to executive decision makers at the highest levels of our government, and swiftly handled emerging crises. And did well enough to be awarded Lithuania’s version of the Medal of Honor – the Medal of Merit.
During my service, I built an investment portfolio allowing me the rare option to retire in my mid-forties. So after leaving the military, I declined lucrative offers from the Beltway in D.C. to focus on my family.
My thirst for knowledge is now put into action daily as a business confidant, mentor, and accredited investor. The attention to detail and problem-solving strategies that I developed during my years in the military are now best used to develop strategies for my clients and partners.
I hold a Master’s degree in Russian & East European Studies from the University of Kansas, and both a Master’s of Business Administration and Certificate in Leadership from the University of Iowa.
I became an Iowan for life when I moved here for college, so I returned after retiring from the military. I currently live in Urbandale with my wife, two teenage daughters, and a scrappy mutt named Pickles.
